Weekly Round Up 7th Feb

Friday, and the sun is shining, what’s not to love?!

There has been all sorts going on in school this week. Zoolab visited our younger children giving them the opportunity to have some seriously close, wild encounters. They learned about, and saw, a range of creatures including giant African land snails, a Chilean Rose Tarantula, a giant African millipede and a Madagascar hissing cockroach!

We also hosted a Shepway Sports Games football tournament and fielded three teams of year 1’s. They played ferociously and were a credit to the school.

The sports theme continued with year 1 having some specialist gymnastic teaching and years 5 and 6 enjoying hockey sessions with our regular coach Marc. We are so fit!

Coming up we have the PTFA Valentines Bake Off competition. Please bring entries into school on Thursday. After school prizes will be awarded and the entries will be on view and available for purchase. Happy baking!

Don’t forget next Friday (14th) we have a staff training day. Teachers will be in school planning new and exciting curriculum events for the final two terms.

Have a lovely weekend, and don’t forget to batten down the hatches, storm Ciara looks a bit feisty!
