Another week done and what a week it was. As you will have seen from Mr Sullivan’s letter the week began with the interview and appointment of my successor. It’s all beginning to feel a bit real now! I very much hope to work with Mrs Lewis over the next two terms to ensure a smooth transition of leadership for the school community.
It was good to see so many of you at the parent teacher consultations this week and I hope you found them useful. The teachers certainly did and it’s always good to have time to reflect on the progress that your children are making.
You will have seen the parent mail regarding corona virus. We are very much in the hands of the DfE and Local Authority and will be following their advice. Meanwhile it’s wash hands, wash hands and wash them again! In school we are trying to ensure it’s business as usual, we certainly don’t want to be causing children anxiety or worry.
We have cancelled the PTFA Easter Fayre, predominantly because there was a potential expenditure …or should that be eggspenditure…on Easter related items that, given the uncertainty around the corona situation may have then been wasted.
Thank you for your support at the Book Fair after school. it will be on again in the hall after school on Monday. We get a commission to spend on books so it really does support the school.
Jade class assembly was lovely this morning, very courageous! Next week Jet class will share their work on our call of courage with us. Parents and family welcome.
I hope you have good weekend and look forward to seeing you safe and well on Monday
