Greatstone Primary School Nursery

Final Week

We have begun the final week of the academic year and as I look back and reflect I think I can say it has been a very positive one for us all.
For me as Headteacher, to have the hard work of the children and staff recognized by Ofsted in maintaining a good grading, was reassuring, very pleasing and ultimately makes me feel incredibly proud.
This week Year 6 will treat us to an end of year show. Photos will no doubt follow soon on the website and I hope they will show just how much the children have enjoyed themselves putting the performance together. We have witnessed some real talent in our Year 6 and I am particularly thrilled with the confidence shown by these young people as they embark on the next stages of their school careers. I feel we have done our job well! No doubt Friday will be an emotional day but we send them off with all our good wishes, and of course thanks for being the ‘best Year 6 this year!’
We are also saying farewell to Mrs Norman this week. She has been a valued member of our team in her role as Senco and again we send her on her way with much love and many thanks.
May I take this opportunity on behalf of all the staff to thank you for your continued support this year. Your children are a delight to work with, keep us on our toes and make our job incredibly rewarding. I wish you all a very relaxing and refreshing summer and look forward to seeing you all back bright and shiny on the 5th September.
With all good wishes
Nicola Wood
