Greatstone Primary School Nursery

It's a busy week at Greatstone!

Today we are filming our Christmas Shows for the purpose of making a DVD for parents to purchase. The PTFA have sent out order forms: please see the school office if you are interested and haven’t received one.
Our performances to parents are on Wednesday and Thursday this week. KS1 at 2pm and KS2 at 6pm. Entry is by ticket only as we have limited space in the hall.
Next week we shall be having all sorts of different celebrations. On Monday one lucky class will be going to the cinema. This is a result of our Lego reward bricks, which the children have been earning since September. Bricks are awarded for attendance, behaviour, uniform and attitude to learning. The class who have accumulated the most bricks will have won the cinema treat. All will be revealed this Friday, but it is very close!
On Tuesday we shall go to church for Christingle. The children will be making a Christingle and learning about this tradition. On Wednesday we shall enjoy a delicious Christmas dinner – many thanks to Mrs Spink and her team for what is always a lovely meal. Christmas jumpers can be worn on this day for Save the Children. We shall also be donning our party clothes on Thursday for our ‘Party Day’ which will culminate in a disco in the afternoon and a 4.15pm pick up. We are also selling tickets for our Teddy Bear Raffle. Each class has a teddy which is raffled for 10p a ticket. We draw the winning tickets in our final assembly. Finally, if we have been good enough, we are hoping that Father Christmas will visit us on Friday. I shall try to Tweet photographs of these various events; do have a look and be part of the magic that is Christmas @GreatstonePS.
Kind regards,
Nicola Wood.
